I am a graduate from UNC-Greensboro with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education (K-6) and a minor in Mathematics. I earned Master's Degree in Curriculum & Instruction in 2021. I have taught in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade classrooms. Before moving to Davidson County Schools, I taught for four years in Guilford County. This will be my third year teaching at Reeds Elementary. 

My hometown is in Tyro, North Carolina, where I have lived on a farm my entire life and I love animals almost as much as I love to teach!  I attended Reeds Elementary School, Tyro Middle School, and West Davidson High School before moving to Greensboro to attend college. I am so excited to be back teaching in the community that I call home. I enjoy exercising, going to the beach and mountains, along with spending time with my family and best friends.  My favorite past time is being entertained by my puppy Roxie. Overall, I enjoy being adventurous and strive to incorporate adventure into the learning atmosphere of the classroom.

I love to teach and continue to learn with the students. It is my goal to inspire all students to strive to be the best they can be throughout their education! My classroom will have an inviting, interactive, and positive environment for learning, embracing diversity, and building friendships. I am thrilled for all of the events that will take place throughout the upcoming school year!
