About Me

Hello, I am the new 3-5 EC Teacher for the 2024-2025 School Year. I am new to Reeds Elementary School this year but I have previously taught EC last school year and the second half of the 2022-2023 school year. I previously worked as a medical assistant for 10 years. I moved from Detroit, Michigan to Lexington, NC in 2019 to be closer to family and enjoy the warmer weather. I completed my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology at Capella University and am currently working towards my Master's Degree in Special Education at Western Governors University. Most of my family has worked in education. My dad was my high school principal and my mom still works as a 1st grade teacher in Naples, Florida. On my free time I am working on becoming a fluent Spanish speaker, going for hikes with my elementary aged son and dog, and creating a mini homestead which currently houses ducks and chickens. I am excited to work with your children and see all of their exceptional growth this year!

I am available via Classroom Dojo, email, or school phone. By phone you can reach me at extension 4735 between the hours of 7:30 am to 3pm, Monday through Friday.

By Dojo you can reach me through your child's general education classroom, I should be listed as an additional teacher, and by email at [email protected]

I will be available to respond within 24 to 48 hours of receiving the message. I will typically respond to messages during the day between 7am and 4pm, Monday through Friday. I will sometimes check emails and messages over the weekend or holidays, but may not respond until the next scheduled school day.
